BREAST FEEDING OVER BOTTLE FEEDING

  1. No need to spend if it is breast milk as opposed to bottle milk which is usually expensive
  2. Breast milk contains antibodies (which help the baby to fight against infection) whereas bottle milk contains no antibodies
  3. Breast milk is readily available whereas bottle milk is not usually so
  4. Breast milk is usually maintained at a correct temperature whereas the temperature of bottle milk needs to be adjusted accordingly before allowing the baby to suckle
  5. Babies having breast milk are not prone to lactose intolerance whereas babies having bottle milk are usually subjected to lactose intolerance
  6. Breast milk contains nutrients in a right proportion whereas bottle milk is not necessarily so
